We at Visit Brookings truly value the great faces and great places creating our tourism community, including our visitors. More importantly, the health and safety of our faces and places is our top concern as Brookings gets back to business.
Therefore, we're working with our community partners to create the Brookings Stay Safe Pledge. It's a shared commitment from all of us, including visitors, to do our very best to provide the safest experience for everyone by following recommended public health guidelines.
The core of the program is simple. It's a reminder to practice good hygiene and follow CDC health guidelines. The Brookings Stay Safe Pledge includes the following measures for businesses and employees:
This is a joint effort between:
- Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce
- City of Brookings (View Ordinance 20-010, outlining continued safety measures and requirements.)
- Brookings Economic Development Corporation
- Brookings Health System
- Brookings School District
- South Dakota State University
While the Brookings Stay Safe Pledge is voluntary, we strongly encourage our local businesses and tourism destinations, as well as residents, to sign on as a community commitment. This pledge is a show of solidarity for the prioritization of the health and safety for our visitors and residents. *Please Note | Businesses who take the pledge will be added to this list.
